Paris-based eÿeka is an online platform that allows brands to run creative contests and connect with creatives such as graphic designers and copywriters. The network has over 400,000 members in 164 countries, and has been used by companies including Procter & Gamble, Unilever and Coca-Cola.

The acquisition follows private equity firm Mentha Capital taking a majority stake in InSites Consulting in 2018.

Adding eÿeka will help InSites Consulting clients generate new ideas from their consumer insights. The two companies have previously worked together on several client projects.

Following the deal, InSites Consulting will have a client service office in Paris.

Eÿeka will retain its brand name following the acquisition. The first step in the integration of the companies will be InSites Consulting clients gaining direct access to the eÿeka network. In the longer term, the team of 15 eÿeka employees and proposition will become integrated as part of the InSites business.

Tom De Ruyck, managing partner and head of insight activation, InSites Consulting, said: “Research activation is not only about insights generation and distribution, it’s also about leveraging them into impactful new ideas. With eÿeka in our midst, we now have direct access to that unique source of creativity, offering our clients the opportunity to extend research by bringing the generated insights to life in tangible concepts.”

François Petavy, chief executive, eÿeka, added: “By combining our strengths, eÿeka and InSites Consulting now offer the fully digital and integrated end-to-end solution the market needs to deliver impact in a faster and better way.”

The terms of the acquisition have not been disclosed.
