Harris Interactive creates live audience feedback service

UK – Digital market research agency, Harris Interactive, has launched an online discussion platform for broadcasters to get real-time viewer insights called PopUP Live.

The new service, which is powered by Toluna, will give detailed insights for TV, radio and online programmes and is built around Harris Interactive’s PopUP community platform. 

Broadcasters can view, download, and control the conversations – as members share their reactions, likes, and dislikes in a moderated discussion.

Denholm Scotford, head of media and entertainment at Harris Interactive said: “Getting audience feedback, and capturing changes in sentiment during a show, is invaluable for broadcasters to inform editing, aid programme development and enhance audience engagement.”

The platform is managed by Harris Interactive’s specialist media researchers, with a discussion guide specific to individual clients. Clients can view and download insights instantly, or access clean transcripts and analysis from the day after transmission.

PopUP Communities launched 18 months ago and PopUP Live has been trialled in the UK and Europe.
