GWI expands to Singapore
GWI is currently headquartered in London, with offices in New York, Prague and Athens, and the Singapore office will initially be staffed by a combination of local workers and relocated European colleagues.
The Singapore office will lead the firm’s expansion to the region, with GWI working with companies in New Zealand and Australia and with hopes to operate in Japan and China in the future.
The Asia-Pacific region currently represents 20% of GWI’s accounts, worth £1.275bn, and is the company’s fastest-growing region.
Tom Smith, chief executive and founder of GWI, said: “We need to build our presence on the ground in the Asia-Pacific to take advantage of the region’s rapidly growing business opportunities.
“By putting a team in Singapore, we will be able to overcome any language, cultural, network and timezone challenges.”
