Goverment commissions TNS BMRB to examine adult education
The research consortium – which includes the National Institute of Adult Continuing Education, National Institute of Economic and Social Research, and education consultancy AlphaPlus – aims to address a number of evidence gaps and inform the way provision is delivered in the future.
The project will run over three-to-four years and includes a randomised control trial to test different forms of delivery for adult English and maths provision. It will also include a large-scale longitudinal study of learners to examine skill development over time and the longer-term earnings and employment outcomes for learners.
