US— Research software and services firm Global Market Insite has signed a deal with mobile engagement specialist TXT4CRM to develop a mobile research tool.
The new GMI Mobile service, which is currently in beta mode, allows respondents to take part in short SMS-based diary tracking studies, polls, customer satisfaction surveys and questions on purchase intent via their mobile phones.
Researchers, GMI said, can follow up traditional online surveys with a subset of mobile subscribers or develop new studies especially for mobile respondents.
The tool will draw on members of GMI’s GlobalTestMarket Panel and will initially be available in the US, although the firm said it has plans to expand to other countries in the future.
