Global appointments at Havas SE

UK — Fredda Hurwitz and Thiago Bersou have been made global chief strategy officer and global creative planning director respectively for Havas Sports and Entertainment (Havas SE) based in London.

Hurwitz (pictured) was previously global vice-president of strategic planning, marketing & communications for the global brand engagement network of Havas. In her new role, she will oversee the development and execution of all global strategic initiatives and key global pitches, while maintaining her current responsibilities of leading new business development, marketing and communications.

She joined Havas SE in 2009 after having held senior level strategic and management positions at Cunning, Momentum Worldwide, Redmandarin, NFL International, NHL International and Disney Consumer Products EMEA.

Bersou joins Havas SE from Aurora Media Worldwide where he was head of brand content. He will help lead on global pitches, supporting the planning process and the development of global creative tools and processes in his creative planning director role.

He has also worked for Diageo where he led participation marketing, developing brand engagement campaigns around football for Guinness Africa, and supporting Diageo’s strategy in Latin America. Before that, he was a senior strategist at Saatchi & Saatchi in Brazil.
