Giacobbe to lead Schlesinger global panel strategy

US – Data collection and research services business Schlesinger Group has appointed Joe Giacobbe as senior vice-president, global panels.

Giacobbe (pictured) will be responsible for leading Schlesinger’s panel strategy and growth.

He will also focus on custom online communities and on formalising initiatives to support diversity, equity, and inclusion in panel development and sampling.

Based in Toronto, Canada, Giacobbe was previously vice-president of research operations at GutCheck until 2018, and latterly has been working independently as a management consultant.

He has previously held senior roles at Kantar Lightspeed, Vision Critical and Ipsos, building and managing panels and custom communities.

Jade Landfried, chief operating officer, Schlesinger Group, said, “Joe is an exceptional leader with a passion for ‘restech’ [research technology] that optimises agility and quality drivers across qual and quant respondent sourcing. He will be working closely with our data science teams to add value to our clients’ global data collection outcomes.”
