GfK names North as chief marketing officer for media research

UK— GfK has appointed Nick North (pictured) as chief marketing officer of its media research business, a role he will hold alongside his existing responsibilities as joint head of GfK NOP Media in the UK.

Board member Wilhelm Wessels says North has been tasked with strengthening “the competitiveness of our local GfK companies and improv[ing] our success rate in winning major contracts in existing markets”.

“He will also contribute to our goal to develop new growth in new markets, extending the scope of the media sector beyond its current contracts and countries,” said Wessels.
