GfK buys Agricultural Information Services business

UK— Agricultural and animal health market research agency GfK Kynetec has acquired the non-crop research business of Agricultural Information Services for an undisclosed amount.

AIS founder Rod Parker will take the role of associate director at GfK Kynetec as part of the deal.

GfK Kynetec will use the AIS business, which provides information on the use of pesticides in homes, gardens, amenities and public areas, to launch a new global research study into the non-crop market, SigmaNC.

According to GfK, the AIS deal makes it “the sole global supplier of detailed data on crop protection products within agricultural and other applications”.
