The new board members are Anastasia Arabia, partner at Trend Research; Diana Lucaci, founder and chief executive of True Impact; Sam Pisani, founder and managing partner of The Logit Group; and Jason Zweig, vice-president and partner at Canadian Viewpoint.

Arabia founded market research firm Trend Research in 2003, and previously worked at Criterion Research (now Leger Marketing) and Opinion Search Inc.

Lucaci uses emotion data from neural and bio measurement technologies to help brands improve the customer experience, and was chair of the Neuromarketing Science and Business Association between 2012 and 2018.

Pisani founded The Logit Group in 1997, with the firm focusing on data collection and research execution.

Zweig has worked at Canadian Viewpoint for 16 years and is responsible for shaping strategy at the company. He previously worked on online community building initiatives with CampusCareerCenter.com and CollegeClub.com.

Barry Watson, chair of CRIC, said: “I am delighted to welcome our new board members who represent a wide range of interests within our industry.

“The large number of strong candidates running in this election was a testament to the weight the profession places on CRIC as the voice of the industry and the value of meaningfully participating in its governance. We will be working hard to find other volunteer leadership opportunities to engage those industry leaders who were not elected.”
