Firefish Group becomes B Corp certified
Firefish Group began the process of B Corp certification in 2023 as part of a new internal approach to its values as a business.
To become a B Corp, businesses must provide evidence of and meet targets in socially and environmentally responsible practices in five areas: governance, workers, community, environment and customers.
Once a company has been certified as a B Corp by B Lab UK, the company must legally commit to maintain the standards by amending its articles of association.
Established in 2000, Firefish Group has offices in the UK and the US.
Firefish Group founder and chief executive, Jem Fawcus, said: "We found great alignment in the B Corp principles, and I’m really proud of the hard work of our Firefish Plus team to seal certification."
Sian Stranks, people and development director and Vanessa Flockhart, HR manager, said: "When we first started looking into getting B Corp certified, we knew it was a community we wanted to be a part of. As a global community of businesses meeting high standards of social and environmental impact, we knew we would be among peers."
Other research businesses to have become B Corp certified in recent years include The Nursery, MM Eye, Space Doctors, Zappi and Ninth Seat.
