UK— Engage Research has appointed Andy Barker, YouGov’s former head of qualitative research, as a director.
Barker (pictured) had been with YouGov since 2008 and was responsible for building the firm’s qual offering from scratch.
Prior to that Barker served as a director at qual agency Spinach Research and also as managing director for qualitative at Research International.
Engage director Lyndsay Peck said: “Andy is enormously experienced having worked both with UK and international clients across a range of product categories. His experience in consumer understanding, communication and brand strategy and product innovation supplements the existing strengths within the Engage team, underpins our commitment to providing senior input on research projects and further strengthens our offering to clients.”
A YouGov spokesman said that firm is currently in the process of choosing Barker’s replacement from two internal candidates.
