Ex-Synovate chief takes global MD role at OnePoint
Philpott (pictured) will work alongside the company’s CEO Neil Jessop. He has been tasked with increasing OnePoint’s global footprint by moving the firm into new and emerging markets.
He left Synovate with its £525m sale to Ipsos last year. He had been with Synovate since its creation in 2002, beginning as chief executive of the Americas before becoming global chief operating officer in 2007 and CEO in 2009.
Prior to that Philpott worked as a managing director for Asia Market Intelligence – which went on to become part of Synovate.
Commenting on the new role at OnePoint, Philpott said: “Mobile phones have become an inextricable part of user’s lives which makes them the ideal tool with which to engage customers and consumers. OnePoint Global’s strong market position means it has an excellent platform on which to build its future propositions – and this is something that I really want to be a part of.”
