Evolution Marketing Research adds Cloud to team


US— Healthcare insight and intelligence agency Evolution Marketing Research has hired former GlaxoSmithKline director Blaine Cloud as a senior director.

The firm said that Cloud’s arrival would strengthen its knowledge of medical markets and customer and patient behaviour, and the former GSK man will also be tasked with consulting and product development.

Cloud (pictured) previously served as director of client services at healthcare research agency Verilogue, and before that spent seven years at GSK where he last held the role of director responsible for market research, brand management and global strategic marketing.

Jim Cummings, Evolution’s principle, said that with Cloud’s appointment, the company was looking to bolster the consumer side of its business to match that of its physician-side work.

“While we’ve delivered solid results on the consumer side of the business, we’ve been less visible than we’d like,” Cummings said. “Dr. Cloud’s experience providing intelligence to power direct-to-consumer (DTC) campaigns and product-line extensions for major pharmaceutical brands will increase our capabilities and help us deliver richer insights to our customers.”
