UK— Custom panel provider EasyInsites is to build and maintain a new research panel for breakfast TV channel GMTV.
The new ViewBack panel aims to be larger and more representative than the previous GMTV panel, which was most recently run by ID Factor. EasyInsites said it will also boast a “more dynamic” panellist website, featuring quick polls, messages from GMTV presenters and links to social media sites.
Members will be recruited through various channels, including the GMTV website and text message, using a freephone number displayed on screen.
Access to the panel will also be made available to third party sample buyers via the Cint Panel Exchange, or directly from EasyInsites, who also provide research design and analysis services.
EasyInsites managing director Charles Pearson (pictured) said: “GMTV is a very experienced client, having utilised their own custom research successfully for the past several years. It is a very gratifying experience to be able to provide them with a new and improved panel that takes full advantage of the latest technology and best practices in online custom panels.”
The new panel will be live in the next couple of weeks, the firm said, and available to other researchers by spring 2010.
