Dunnhumby names new CEO
Bottomley (pictured), who will take up his new role in July, was most recently operating partner at CVC Capital Partners and has also held senior roles at companies including HSBC, Google and LexisNexis.
Dunnhumby said that Bottomley will replace Dan Olley, who agreed to leave the company late last year to become chief executive at Hargreaves Lansdown.
Ken Murphy, chief executive at Tesco Group, said: “Josh is an energetic leader with strong experience in improving customer propositions, product and digital innovation, and in leading tech and product transformation.
“The capabilities and skills of Dunnhumby give us unique strengths, and I’m confident that under Josh’s leadership we’ll continue to build on that.
“I’d also like to thank Dan for his continued passion for Dunnhumby, and for his leadership in developing and executing the Dunnhumby strategy.”
Josh Bottomley said: “I first spent time working with Dunnhumby as a customer 20 years ago, and ever since then I’ve admired the talents of the team and the hugely valuable insights they provide.
“I’m really excited to be joining the team, working alongside our brilliant Dunnhumby colleagues.”
