US— Digital magazine distributor Zinio has signed up to use the Webtrends mobile analytics package to track usage of its Unity platform on iPhone, iPad and Android devices.
Zinio says the Webtrends data will record how many people download its mobile reader app and use it to trial and purchase digital copies of magazine.
Using the data, it hopes to be able to discover which magazines need improved promotion on the platform and whether there are cross-selling opportunities between titles.
Zinio is available in 29 countries, ‘stocking’ a total of 3,500 magazines.
