DatafuelX hires three

US – Advertising forecasting and activation tools firm DatafuelX has appointed three new senior staff members, including Steve Popper as vice-president of technology

Popper (pictured) will provide day-to-day management of DatafuelX’s engineering team and help evaluate current tools and development plans.

Before joining DatafuelX, Popper was chief technology officer at Antuit.ai, a portfolio company at Goldman Sachs, and has also served in the same role at video advertising firm Vidillion.

Guanghui Liu has been named as vice-president of data science and will lead DatafuelX’s work in optimisation modelling, machine learning, artificial intelligence, mathematical algorithms and predictive modelling.

Liu joins DatafuelX from Catalina USA, where he served as principal data scientist and senior director of data science.

Caitlin Barter has also been hired as director of partnership success, and will oversee product implementation with clients, as well as leading the promotion of DatafuelX’s M3 Data Driven Linear (DDL) platform.

Before joining DatafuelX, Barter was associate director, customer success – TV platform at Xandr, which was bought by Microsoft earlier this year, and has also worked as manager, partner solutions at Clypd.

The three roles are all new positions at DatafuelX, and come shortly after the launch of its DDL software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform M3.

DatafuelX was set up in 2021 and runs forecasting, optimisation and activation tools for convergent television.
