US/UK— The Corporate Executive Board (CEB) is buying UK-based talent analytics firm SHL, which measures the effectiveness of company staff and benchmarks their performance against the competition, for $660m.
SHL’s revenues were $209.9m last year with adjusted earnings of $56.9m. The company is owned by funds managed by HgCapital and Veronis Suhler Stevenson.
CEB is an executive research and advisory firm that bought employee insights firm Valtera earlier this year and consumer trends firm Iconoculture two years before that.
Tom Monahan, CEB chief executive, said of the SHL acquisition: “We see a continual increase in the demand for talent measurement and analytics to drive organisational performance. The combination of these enterprises creates a uniquely valuable resource to help executives apply predictive analysis to the selection, development and management of talent.”
