UK – The Co-op Group has appointed Nick Meagher to the newly created role of head of insight and research.
Meagher (pictured) will join Co-op in September from Tesco, where he was head of customer insight, focusing on areas such as marketing communications and Tesco’s loyalty card scheme.
He has also had previous global insight leadership roles with both Unilever and Mondelez International.
At Co-op, Meagher will report to Charlotte Lock, director of data, digital and loyalty.
Meagher’s role will lead on insight and research for the Co-op’s food, insurance, funeralcare, legal, community and membership businesses.
Lock said: “Nick is a first-class insight and research leader and his focus on purpose aligns with our cooperative values and vision of cooperating for a fairer world.”
