US— Vision Critical is providing the research technology behind a recently launched portal from meditech firm Convatec.
Convatec specialises in producing wound and ostomy care (WOC) products and the portal allows the firm to gather opinion among WOC nurses. Results will feed into developing the firm’s product line and improving the delivery of healthcare services.
Matt Dawson, global marketing manager at Convatec, said that the firm is initially sounding out opinion from nurses it has worked with before, but it intends to “open it up to all nurses, and to all individuals living with an ostomy. This is really all about empowering nurses. It’s going to help them drive and impact the products and services that they need daily in their jobs, so it will have a direct effect on improving patients’ lives.”
In the coming weeks the panel is expected to launch in France, Italy and Germany.
