UK— PharmaGems, a business set up earlier this year to invest in entrepreneurs in healthcare market research, has partnered with Cognicient, which produces software to help companies link data from different sources.
Cognicient’s product, Link BI, has so far primarily been used to help FMCG clients unearth insights and get more out of their research spend by linking new studies with historical information.
Through the partnership with PharmaGems, the firm hopes to provide the industry understanding to help healthcare clients put its technology into practice.
Managing director Mike Page (pictured) said: “Cognicient Link BI is well suited to enable healthcare companies to get significantly more value from their research data. We also recognise that these companies want to work with people that thoroughly understand the industry.”
PharmaGems was set up earlier this year by former Synovate directors Peter Chopra and Michael Spedding – who has since rejoined Synovate in a new role. Board director Allan Bowditch, who joined in August, said Cognicient is “exactly the kind of company PharmaGems exists to work with”.
