US— Former Arbitron executive Gary Marince has been appointed as senior vice president of research and development at broadcaster Clear Channel Radio.
Marince spent 15 years at Arbitron and was most recently VP of programming services and development where he was responsible for developing software technologies that used portable people meter (PPM) data to analyse listener behaviour and radio consumption.
In a newly created position at Clear Channel Marince will work on providing analytics and gaining a better understanding of the company’s audience across all stations.
Bob Michaels, Clear Channel’s EVP of research, said: “I’ve known Gary for many years and worked with him at Arbitron. I couldn’t be more pleased that he is joining Clear Channel Radio. It’s a real win for our company – Gary is a highly respected research industry professional and a strong addition to our research team.”
