Catalyx hires COO and marketing head

UK – Insight and innovation company Catalyx has appointed Philip Norminton as chief operating officer and Jack Hillaby as head of marketing.

Philip Norminton

Norminton (pictured) previously led Black Swan Data’s professional services work using big data, predictive analytics, consulting and software-as-a-service.

Prior to that, Norminton had 10 years at PepsiCo in a variety of insight, customer strategy and commercial roles, and also had a decade in leadership roles at Nielsen.

Hillaby joins Catlyx from shopper research agency Spark Emotions, where he spent four years.

Before Spark Emotions, Hillaby was at Grace Foods, where he was brand manager, and started his career in marketing roles at Tesco.

Guy White, chief executive at Catalyx, said: “Catalyx are absolutely delighted that Phil joins us. He is an incredibly well-rounded professional with a broad base of client and agency-side experience in technology-enabled innovation consultancy. His track record speaks for itself, and I am absolutely sure he is going to help Catalyx achieve great things going forward.

“We couldn’t be more pleased that Jack has joined Catalyx. Jack brings with him a depth and breadth of marketing experience that will help take Catalyx to the next level. His unique retailer, client and market research experience sets him apart from others in the field.”
