US— Financial news provider Bloomberg has signed up Rentrak to provide audience measurement services for its TV channel, Bloomberg Television.
The company will use Rentrak’s TV Essentials service to capture second-by-second viewership information of its business, political and economic content.
Trevor Fellows, head of ad sales at Bloomberg Television, said: “TV Essentials will help us grow our advertising base by more efficiently and and effectively packaging our highly targeted audience.”
Meanwhile, not-for-profit broadcaster PBS is set to sign up to Nielsen’s TV ratings service, according to The New York Times. Andrew Russell, a senior vice president at PBS Ventures, said the addition of Nielsen ratings would give PBS “a better fix on who’s watching public TV”.
