CANADA— BBM Analytics has struck a deal to tie radio ratings data with music airplay information from Nielsen’s Broadcast Data Systems to show how individual songs are rated on a minute-by-minute basis and how listeners react over a longer period of time.
The integrated data will be available from July, when BBM Analytics releases a new version of its InfoSys+Radio Portable People Meter (PPM) analysis software.
David Phillips, vice president at BBM Analytics, said: “PPM has brought a huge amount of data to the market already, but we’re always looking for ways to make it easier for our clients to access real insights from our software. Adding Nielsen BDS data into the InfoSys+Radio program will give programmers even better tools to make sense of the data, which will help them make better choices.”
BBM Analytics is a subsidiary of TV and radio ratings body BBM Canada.
