Bakamo brings in Deitch as CEO

HUNGARY – Social listening consultancy Bakamo.Social has appointed former Ipsos and NPD Group executive Jonathan (JD) Deitch as chief executive, with a remit to grow the business.

Deitch (pictured) was previously chief operating officer at AYTM, a DIY survey research platform.

He began his career as a research client in the financial services sector. He went on to hold senior positions at The NPD Group, where he was head of research and analytics in Europe, and at Ipsos where he led global sample and panel operations.

Deitch said: “It’s energising to join a promising company that blurs the lines between strategy and insight. The Bakamo approach elevates social listening beyond simple counting and keyword searches. It provides a real understanding of consumers’ needs and behaviour through their authentic voices, with a depth and breadth that simply wouldn’t be possible through traditional surveys or focus groups.”

Daniel Fazekas, Bakamo’s founder, said: “JD joins us as we’ve reached an inflection point. Our business will benefit both from his leadership and enthusiasm and I feel confident he can bring us to the next level.”

Fazekas will now focus on global sales and business development.
