App Annie adds Google Play to analytics offering

US— Mobile gaming analytics specialists App Annie is now available on the Android App Store’s Google Play directory. Its intelligence service was previously only available on Apple’s iOS, where it was used by 80 of the top 100 publishers.

App Annie for Google Play will enable publishers to simultaneously track their iOS, Mac and Google Play Android apps within a single cross-platform dashboard. It will be formally unveiled at this week’s Google I/O 2012 conference.

In a blog post the company said: “With the launch of App Annie for Google Play, publishers worldwide can take advantage of the most comprehensive real-time analytics and market intelligence available – gaining unmatched insights into the Google Play Android app economy”.

App Annie’s download and revenue estimates allow companies, including the likes of EA, Kabam, Microsoft, Nokia and Sega, to tweak their app store business strategies.
