US — App intelligence platform App Annie has announced its acquisition of mobile measurement company Mobidia.
The acquisition will expand App Annie’s dataset on mobile app usage and accelerate the international expansion of its Usage Intelligence tool, which provides app usage metrics, including active users, time spent, usage frequency and retention. Alongside today’s news, App Annie has also announced the general availability of Usage Intelligence, following its initial closed beta release in January.
“Mobidia is a pioneer in the industry offering global mobile app usage data since 2012 and by joining App Annie, our clients will benefit from the most comprehensive and granular app usage dataset on the market,” said Bertrand Schmitt, CEO of App Annie.
Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
