AnswerLab hires former Nielsen Mobile Insights director

US— Online user experience research agency AnswerLab has appointed Kate Taplin as director of research.

Taplin was previously at Nielsen where she was responsible for leading the mobile media product team before taking the role of director of product leadership for mobile insights in the US where she was responsible for running the country’s largest wireless consumer study.

She began her 12-year career in research at MarketTools where she developed the Hispanic Reach study, which collects data on the Spanish-speaking population for consumer goods clients.

AnswerLab co-founder and managing partner Amy Buckner said: “We are attracting highly skilled and talented staff because we provide the opportunity to work at the heart of a number of trends – the online industry’s increased focus on user experience and the increased importance of connecting with consumers in new ways via web and mobile technologies.”
