CANADA – Community-centred experience research company Alida has named Efrem Ainsley as its new chief executive officer, replacing Ross Wainwright.

Ainsley (pictured) was most recently chief operating officer at Alida, having joined the company in 2020 as chief financial officer.

Prior to joining Alida, Ainsley was chief executive at ScribbleLive, which was acquired by Rock Content in late 2019, and held chief financial officer and chief operating officer roles at Exinda and PlateSpin.

Wainwright, who has stepped down from his role but will remain a shareholder in Alida, served as chief executive for four years and led the organisation through its transformation into the customer experience market.

Wainwright said: “I am thankful to our incredible team and all their hard work throughout the years and will look forward to supporting a smooth transition as Efrem takes the helm.

“I will continue to be an evangelist, investor, shareholder and enduring supporter of Alida.”

Phil Deck, Alida’s chairman of the board of directors, said: “We thank Ross for his leadership during an exciting era for the company and have tremendous confidence in Efrem as he takes the reins at this important time in Alida’s history.

“The board is excited about the 2024 strategic plan with an emphasis on innovation, vertical-focused growth, and the continued delivery of exceptional value for its customers.”
