Affectiva launches emotional analytics metric

US — Affectiva has launched Affdex Score, a performance-based metric to evaluate emotional connections to media content.

Affdex Score, supported by a normative database of Affectiva’s emotion insights gathered across the globe, will be used to assess emotional connections to content. Affdex Score measures consumers’ emotional engagement to media content and is used as an evaluative tool for comparing performance across markets, regions and product categories.

Affectiva has developed an API to integrate emotion insights directly into existing platforms. The raw emotion data gathered consists of time-series analytics, media testing norms, statistical measures and the Affdex Score.
