UK— Aegis shareholders today voted in favour of selling the market research agency Synovate to rival research group Ipsos.
Seventy-seven per cent of shares were voted at a general meeting in London, virtually all of them backing the disposal.
The deal still needs to clear antitrust hurdles but is expected to be completed on or around 30 September.
Ipsos agreed to buy Synovate for £525m last month in a move that will create the world’s third largest research agency by revenue.
