US— Online community builder Lithium has appointed Rob Tarkoff as chief executive officer, replacing co-founder Lyle Fong who becomes chief strategist.
Tarkoff (pictured) joins from Adobe Systems where he served as SVP and general manager of the Digital Enterprise Solutions business unit. He also oversaw the development of Adobe’s customer experience management strategy, among other tasks.
He previously held several executive positions at cloud computing and hardware firm EMC Corporation including SVP and general manager of the Captiva Software division.
Fong said: “We’ve searched for a world-class leader with a proven track record of operational excellence to help us scale our success. I feel tremendously fortunate to have Rob join us – not only for his experience, but also the authenticity he brings which is so critical in the social space.”
