ABC appoints new chair
Hirsch will succeed Derek Morris, who has chaired the board since 2016.
With a background in content marketing, Hirsch has worked with brands including John Lewis and Sky, and was formerly global chief executive at John Brown Media.
He will chair ABC alongside his non-executive director role at APL Media.
Morris said: “Andrew was selected from a very strong list of candidates, underscoring ABC’s significant and ongoing influence in media. We look forward to Andrew’s experience and proven expertise to help continue building ABC’s role in verifying promises made in media business.”
ABC’s chief executive Simon Redlich, said: “Derek has done a tremendous job as our chair. He’s been a great source of advice and a pleasure to work with. Andrew’s appointment marks our next chapter. He brings extensive knowledge and a profound understanding of our industry, which will further support ABC’s journey as we continue to apply our audit expertise across multiple areas.”
