Verve and Potentiate merge in UK

M&A News UK

UK – Community panel specialist Verve and Australia-based insight community company Potentiate are merging in the UK as part of a global strategic partnership.

Potentiate’s UK business will become part of Verve from today ( 15th December), with its UK assets merged into London-headquartered Verve.

Sydney-headquartered Potentiate expanded into Europe last year.

In the rest of the world, both businesses will remain independent and retain their current brands, while working together as part of the strategic partnership. In France and Germany, Verve will support Potentiate’s human experience and community offer, while in the US, the union will support growth plans from Verve’s Chicago base and Potentiate’s Seattle office.

Verve will take on Potentiate’s approach of combining community panels and customer experience programmes.

The partnership will allow the companies to expand support for clients in Asia, Australia, Europe and North America and share investment in marketing and innovation.

There are currently no plans to merge the two businesses in markets other than the UK.

Peter Harris, chief executive of Potentiate (pictured), said: “Potentiate and Verve each have wonderful client relationships with well-known brands globally, and both share a similar vision for the future. I’m delighted to finally work with Andrew Cooper and his team.”

Andrew Cooper, founder and chief executive of Verve, said: “Together, we not only provide a global integrated customer experience and community panel platform, but also a global in-market service presence in key client territories.”

The financial terms of the partnership are not being disclosed.
