The research will survey 900 parents and children about their lifestyles, media habits, hobbies as well as their attitudes and behaviour when it comes to sport in general as well as golf.

From the research a number of distinct segments will be identified to help give England Golf a detailed understanding of the youth market, to see where the greatest opportunities lie for the future of golf and show the most effective ways of communicating with those groups.

Thomas Allen, insight manager at England Golf said: “England Golf is really excited about this research and the opportunities it will bring us to create a clear vision and strategy for the future of junior golf. We selected Platypus to undertake the project based on its expertise in understanding the youth market, coupled with its experience of helping other sporting organisations in engaging with young people.”
