Former Nielsen exec invests in MRSS India, becomes CEO

INDIA — Former Nielsen executive Sarang Panchal (pictured) has bought “a significant equity stake” in MRSS India and has become chief executive of the research agency.

Panchal worked for Nielsen from 1997 to 2008, latterly as managing director of customised research for Greater China and Asia Pacific.

Prior to that he was an executive director for Dun & Bradstreet and a research executive for Procter & Gamble India.

More recently, Panchal has been a partner in Smart Spaces, a modular construction firm.

On joining MRSS India, the Indian arm of the Majestic MRSS Group, he said: “We are working aggressively to make MRSS India the country’s premier digital research agency. Besides doing conventional research, we aim to leverage technology to the fullest to help our clients secure the best possible understanding of consumers and markets.”
