Repucom buys brand monitoring rival Image Impact

US— Repucom has bought Image Impact, a rival in the monitoring of brand exposure in sports broadcasting and the official provider of brand placement analysis for Major League Baseball.

The operational merging of the two companies will take place over the next six months, said Repucom CEO Paul Smith.

Image Impact was founded a decade ago by CEO Russ Cline. He said: “In the last two years we have seen the US sports market becoming far more aligned with global research trends and initiatives. We have sought to be part of a truly global business model and the opportunity with Repucom was ideal.”
