People on the move

The latest appointments and promotions from the global market research and consumer insight industry. This week: Mediaedge:cia, Fonterra Brands and Nunwood

The Shanghai office of media agency Mediaedge:cia has appointed THERESA LOO as head of strategic planning, analytics and insight. She joins the firm from Research International China where she worked for clients including Johnson & Johnson, Unilever and Accor. Previously she was marketing director for Bright Dairy in Shanghai.

AHMAD YAHYA has been named marketing director at dairy company Fonterra Brands Middle East. Yahya previously spent time at Kraft, Danone and Pepsi.

Atlanta-based research agency CMI has announced SAMANTHA WALKER as its new marketing science manager. Prior to joining CMI, Walker was senior programme manager at ICF Macro, group research director for The Buntin Group, and senior project director for Socratic Technologies Inc. Earlier in her career Walker was a research associate/project manager for the Prevention Research Center, Pacific Institutes for Research and Evaluation.

Nunwood has added four new members of staff to its offices in London in New York. In London CHARMAIN HAYNES has been appointed junior analyst in the market analytics division and DEBBIE WYKES and KATHERINE SAVAGE join as quantitative client consultants in the global insight division. In the US, STACEY SIPORIN, who was previously at Hall & Partners USA and Illuminas Global, joins the New York office to work with FMCG, IT, financial service and telecom clients. Meanwhile, at the firm’s office in Leeds DAVE EVANS has been promoted from senior client consultant to insight manager.
