100 jobs to go at Omniture following buyout
The web analytics firm said most of the cuts would come from general and administrative functions. The company, which was bought for $1.8bn, employed 1,200 staff prior to the acquisition.
Adobe is also cutting around 9% of its non-Omniture workforce to “appropriately align our costs in connection with our 2010 operating plan”.
In a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, the maker of Photoshop and Acrobat said some 680 full-time positions would be eliminated worldwide, with up to $52m earmarked for employee severance arrangements.
Adobe said it expects to incur “additional restructuring expenses relating to Omniture’s operations” but did not give any further details.
