US — Tubular, an analytics platform designed to support YouTube content creators, has closed a $2.5m financing round.
The company’s dashboard collates and presents information that people share about themselves on the site, allowing YouTube channel owners to understand the demographics of their audience, their preferences, viewing habits and whether they are fans or influencers.
Tubular is in private beta with a host of clients including Awesomeness TV, comedy video producer Taryn Southern and videogame entertainment channel Machinima.com, whose co-founders Allen DeBevoise and Philip DeBevoise contributed to Tubular’s earlier $650,000 seed financing round.
Its latest investment comes from FirstMark Capital, High Line Venture Partners, SVAngel, Lerer Ventures and Bedrock Media Ventures.
