Target brings in new marketing leader from Hilton

Weinstein joins the business from Hilton, where he was chief marketing officer and led luxury brands for the hotel chain.
While at Hilton, Weinstein’s role included responsibility for brand and performance marketing, including CRM and personalisation, and he also oversaw the company’s loyalty programme, Hilton Honors.
At Target, Weinstein will have a remit to increase connection across the different ways in which people engage with the brand, including shopping, discovery, culture and communities.
He will also oversee the company’s retail media network and its marketplace.
Target said earlier in 2026 that it plans to invest in delivering more consistency of experience for its customers, including updating its stores and increasing spend on brand marketing and AI.
Weinstein reports directly to Michael Fiddelke, Target’s chief executive officer.
Fiddelke said: "As we continue writing the next chapter at Target, deepening how we know and engage our guests will be critical to our success. Mark has a proven ability to understand what consumers value and turn those insights into brand connections that feel relevant and personal.
"His leadership will help us elevate the guest experience across every interaction with Target, deepening existing relationships, welcoming new guests and driving continued growth."
