He was previously the company’s UK head of data services. In his new role he will be responsible for replicating the growth of the UK’s data services offering – including its omnibus research service – across markets, including Germany, France and the Nordics.

Glanville (pictured) has worked at YouGov for nine years and has previously held roles in WPP’s research arm as well as operational roles at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office.

More recently Glanville has been working on augmenting the fast-turnaround research services in the UK to collect data to populate the ‘YouGov Cube’, allowing the business to target niche groups and provide richer data for bespoke projects.

He will report to Ray Martin, CEO of data services.

Martin said: “Ben has consistently improved the Omnibus team’s performance and developed its offering. As well as making YouGov the first firm to offer next-day results, and expanding our B2B omnibus to take a 2,000-person sample, he has also led the way in harnessing the power of the ‘YouGov Cube’ – our proprietary connected data set – for fast-turnaround research.”
