Yahoo man to lead Quantcast expansion into Europe

UK— Web measurement firm Quantcast has appointed Philip Macauley as UK managing director to lead the company’s expansion into Europe.

Macauley (pictured) joins from Yahoo where he has spent the last ten years and was most recently director of business development and commercial relations. He started with Yahoo in 2000 as head of planning and strategy for the UK and European market, and has held other senior roles including agency sales director and head of publisher partnerships.

Quantcast co-founder and CEO Konrad Feldman said: “Phil has exceptional knowledge of the UK marketplace, the needs of buyers and sellers and a deep understanding of the emergence of real-time media solutions and the value these technologies deliver to publishers, marketers and consumers. We’re delighted to have him spearheading our UK expansion and excited for the opportunity it presents.”

Feldman said the firm had seen more demand from international clients, particularly in Europe, following its introduction of country-specific data earlier this year.
