US – Marketing and communications agency GTB has appointed Marc Sanford as global chief data science officer.
Sanford (pictured) joins the company from fellow WPP agency Wunderman Thompson, where he was senior vice-president of consumer insights and analytics and helped to build the company’s AI division.
Prior to that, he led the business analytics team at real estate firm Zillow.
In the new role, Sanford will oversee a data analytics team cross six continents and 50 offices. He takes up the role effective from 1st September.
Robert Guay, global chief executive officer, GTB, said: “Human behaviour is the best signal for understanding what, how and when to communicate effectively with consumers in ways that provide a competitive advantage. We're excited to have Marc help lead that charge in this newly created role.”
