WPP’s Aqua acquires Applogix
Applogix — which offers web and mobile application build, front end development, ecommerce and user experience design, and has clients including MTN, Standard Bank and Shell — was established in 2005 and employs about 20 people in Johannesburg. Applogix’s unaudited revenues were ZAR 10.3 million, with gross assets of approximately ZAR 2.8 million (year end to February 2014 ).
The company said the acquisition would strengthen Aqua’s ability to provide clients with leading edge technical solutions, especially in the mobile and ecommerce space. Aqua is South Africa’s largest digital agency and part of Wunderman.
