US— WPP has named Visible Technologies – the company in which it owns a 49% stake – as the preferred social listening and analytics platform for its operating companies in North and South America, Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
Visible already works with WPP companies GroupM, Wunderman and Ogilvy, but CEO Richard Pasewark said: “This arrangement has the potential to greatly expand our WPP client base… and also geographically, particularly in faster growing markets where WPP is consistently either the top or in the top-tier of communications services companies.”
In granting Visible preferred supplier status WPP has secured a group of licenses for use by its operating companies and clients in all relevant markets.
WPP increased its stake in the business from 24% to 49% in April after Visible acquired and merged with its rival Cymfony, which was wholly-owned by WPP.
