UK – Ogilvy & Mather, the WPP-owned marketing communications network, has acquired a majority stake in digital consultancy ARBA for an undisclosed sum.
Founded in 2012, the Hong Kong-based consultancy specialises in digital strategy, including digital design and software engineering, for financial services organisations. Clients include FWD, Prudential and Hang Seng Bank.
The deal will boost Ogilvy’s digital strategy and creative capabilities.
The investment is the latest in WPP’s strategy to focus on technology, data and content. In October, the group cut its growth forecasts for the third time in 2017, amid shrinking client budgets.
