Wirth named CEO of Kynetec and Kleffmann Group
Kynetec and Kleffmann Group announced their merger in November 2019.
Wirth, formerly chief operating officer of Kynetec’s global crop subscription business, will be responsible for leading the integration of the two companies. He has worked at the company for 12 years, holding various roles including head of US custom research.
Stephen Hearn, founder and former CEO of Kynetec, has stepped down and will take on a strategic business development consultancy role.
Kleffmann Group founder and former chief executive, Burkhard Kleffmann, left the company in November and is setting up a non-competitive agricultural remote sensing business.
Following the integration, the company will have around 950 staff across 50 countries.
Wirth said: “My focus will be on delivering a sustainable business model that provides continuous agriculture and animal health data in key global markets. It is more important than ever that the voices of the farmers, producers, and veterinarians that we represent are heard.”
